Dr. Filbert Rwehumbiza has been working at SUA since 1983, currently holding a position of Associate Professor and teaching Soil Physics, Land Husbandry, Dry land Agriculture, Soil Physics, Computing, Agro-meteorology and Soil-Plant Water Relations. His research interests and expertise: Soil and Water resource management, modelling soil and atmospheric conditions affecting plant growth and crop establishment in semi-arid conditions. Dr Filbert has implemented several research projects funded by DFiD, SIDA, IDRC, IWMI, and currently chairman of the Soil Science Society of East Africa –SSSEA (Tanzania Chapter).
